Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Alberich Megrez Delta Robe Review

Considering that the character is not one of the loved ones in the saint seiya universe, ever since I saw his cloth on the show, I could tell when I was a little kid that cloth was a very special looking one.  From all the gods in the Asgard saga, almost all of them look great with great features on the cloths.  This figure was no exception and made on the year 2009 from Bandai, we saw a masterpiece made in front of our eyes.  From excellence to beauty, this cloth was one of a kind.  So let’s see how this figure is when we review it.

As we look at the box, it is a standard saint seiya myth cloth book style of a box.  With dark blue package and in the front of the box we have the figure itself completed and the animated form of the cloth as well in the front.  On the side of the box we see it says “Saint Cloth Myth” and on the bottom it says “Delta Robe” with a picture of the god Megrez in the middle.  If you don’t know what he looks like or the robe looks like, its like a skeleton head stuck in a bunch of crystals.  As we look at the back of the package, we see a beautiful diorama made for this figure to display him on.  This is one distinct feature the asgard cloths have all in common.  All of the cloths have a diorama with the figure for a picture.  Alberich is leaning on a tree representing the scene were he fights Pegasus, Cygnus, and Dragon on the forest.  We also see the display of the flame sword and the figure with and without his helmet piece.  We also see the object mode on display on the back.  As you open the box we see a standard layout of the box with the figure on the left and the object mode skeleton on the right.  We see on the corners that it says “God Warrior” on the top and “Alberich” on the bottom.  So let’s review the package inside.

On the package itself we have on the right side the figure and the cloth itself with the instruction manual.  The figure has a white body and the cloth is a bluish green color.  As you see the left side of the package, we have the skeleton of the object mode, which is not really a skeleton, it’s mostly a base to put the parts on it, we have the crystal sword and the flame effects for the sword itself.  So the package is really simple.  So let’s see the instructions.  The instructions are very simple to follow to make the figure itself, most of the instructions details go to the object mode, which is numbered for the crystals in the back, numbered for the parts on the skeleton and it’s just a big mess on the instructions.  The only way you can really follow it, is to pay very close attention to the picture of the object mode and the shape of the parts.  There are also dots on the crystals and there are dots on the back were they go, so that’s a very good way to follow the instructions on how to put the crystals in order.

As we complete the object mode, you can see it’s very dynamic and very nice to look at, but the build took a bit of time to make, in my experience it took me over 30 minutes to make it.  This is a bit long compared to other myth cloth.  But overall it is great, the cloth is not that heavy on object mode, and is very nice to look at.  The skeleton in the middle is the one that shines the most.  So let’s go build the figure itself.

Now building the figure is one of the best parts of this cloth, the face sculpture is beautiful and all the cloth is magnificent.  The cloth is very beautiful to make and the parts fit like a glove.  The hair has very dynamic feel to it and very wavy.  When you put the face piece on the figure that’s were its great.  The hair raps around the figures head piece and it’s a very dynamic feel to look at.  Overall the figures face and face piece is the total winner for this.  In the middle part of the cloth you have 2 parts you can choose from.  You can put the chrome part or you can put the dull part on it.  In my eyes, the chrome part is what goes there, because it fits with the rest of the cloth.  The cloth has few plastic parts consisting of the skirts, head piece, and the jewel part in the middle of the belt, the rest of the cloth is die cast metal.  The flame effects on the sword are the best effects I have seen on a figure for a long time.  They wrap around the sword perfect and they look great, the sword and the crystals have this great purple transparent look to them and they are great to see.  Overall this figure is great!

Now with my opinion this figure is an automatic 10.  It has great features and it’s a perfect representation of the character.  The cloth looks great and the object mode is perfect to look at.  There were a bit of difficulties on the object mode build but nothing that you can’t handle.  The face piece is great and the sculpture of the hair is perfect.  The face is made to perfection and it’s just a great cloth overall.  Even if you’re not a fan of this cloth, I totally recommend it.  I am in love with this cloth and you will be as well.
