Tamashii Nation Limite Steel Saint Sho Review
Looking at the series since the 1980’s most people remember the first time the steel saints came to the show. Most people know him as a steel saint, some as shock 1, and some just know him as Sho. There design was unique and in the story, they were hand made by Saori’s grandfather, but none the less people love this character, even if it only came out for 5 episodes. Now Bandai has made this figure after so many long years of waiting for a perfected version,
and today we will look more into detail on the steel saint tucan cloth of Sho
As we all expected this tamashii nation exclusive has a solid box. The box is a solid gray and the outline looks tech looking. On the front of the box we see Sho completed and on the side we see the object mode which is a plane. On the side we see there are the words “Saint Cloth Myth” and on the bottom it says Steel Sky Cloth. In the middle of the words we have the object mode which looks more like a jet than a tucan. On the back we have Sho doing some poses and there showing you him with and without the helmet, him grabbing the object mode, and other poses. Like I said before this is a solid package and this opens from the top. So let’s look inside and see what there is.
Inside the package we have 2 plates stacked on top of each other. The first plate has the figure itself, the arms and the feet and the different hands. On the second plate we have the object mode skeleton, the chest and the skirt. In this moment the object mode skeleton looks very big but not difficult to make. Under all the plates we have the instruction manual which is a nice gray techy color. Looking at the instructions we see that the figure is not really complicated to make, and it should be rather simple build. So let’s first make the object mode.
As we make the object mode, every part of the cloth is used which is a great thing. I did notice that the skit does not completely close and the middle part of the skit comes off rather easy when you’re doing the object mode. You should have a lot of caution doing this, because the middle part is plastic and can easily break. The helmet fits great as the cockpit and the armor chest and legs looks great on the figure. Another thing to notice is that the chest is rather loose. It’s not the chest itself but rather the chest cover. It does not snap into place and it’s rather easy to take off. But none the less if you don’t move the object mode, the chest will stay in place. Another nice feature that I noticed is that the object mode has wheels that actually move. You can really use the object mode to play as a jet but I don’t recommend it due to the fact this is rather a pretty penny. So enough with the object mode, let’s see how the figure looks.
As soon as you start building you notice the beauty of the figure. The dynamic hair that the figure has and the sculpture of the face is perfect. The attention to detail is great and everything is made to perfection. The body has the white with black stripes which is great representation of the figure in the anime. As you put the face with the helmet the hair wraps around the helmet making it a great dynamic look. The two faces the figure comes with are great and I personally love the screaming one. It gives it more of an expression and passion to the cloth. The emerald or engine red the cloth color is made from is great. It has a very nice look and very nice appeal to the cloth. You can see propellers and turbines all over the figure and that shows you they did pay attention to all the details. The amount of poses you can put this figure are not limited to any range. This figure can bend and flex in many ways. But we still have some problems. The only major flaw this figure has is the same flaw it has on the object mode. The chest falls rather easy and it should not be this problematic for a Tamashii exclusive. When you are trying to pose him some times the chest falls and that could be a problem. And if you damage you cloth middle part on the waist you may have problems putting it on the figure. This piece has specific sizes and if you buffed them out, it’s going to easily fall off. The figure itself is made of equal plastic and metal parts. The helmet, all the skirt, the chest top piece, and the visor are all plastic. The shoulders, inner parts of the chest, arms and legs and feet are all metal.
What can I say about this cloth, it is a great figure. The amount of detail it went to have this figure made to perfection is unreal. From the color, to the sculpture of the face and body, this figure is perfect. We do see some major defects that they should not exist due to the fact this is an exclusive like the chest piece and the skirt front part but if you can look over this flaws and just love the cloth for what its worth you will enjoy this. For me, this cloth is a definite 10+, but be warned this is an exclusive which means it’s harder to get, not impossible, just hard. But overall I do love this cloth and I recommend it to any saint seiya fan out there that loves the series. When we get the next two of the steel saints, which I am very excited to have and review, this collection will look great and in the end it will be worth it!

Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Cancer Deathmask Review
As the most hated or the coolest character in the series, Cancer Deathmask has become an icon of evil in the saint seiya universe. I remember him since I was a child and I really never liked him as a character, but as a cloth for collection is another different story. Bandai made most of the gold saints in the year 2004 to 2006 in the hope to reopen the saint seiya market, and it did with great success, but with the money they were charging for the figures, the people wanted quality on the figures which the figures of 2004 and 2005 did not provide. Cancer Deathmask was made in 2005 but his one of the better looking cloths for that year.
So starting with the box we see it’s the same book style kind of package with a gold box. The figure is displayed completed in the front with an animated form of Cancer Deathmask in the front as well. We have the Bandai logo on the front with the Toei sticker in some packages. On the side of the box we see it says “Saint Cloth Myth” and on the bottom it Says “Cancer Cloth” and the zodiac sign of cancer in the middle. In the back of the box it’s a simple plain cloth with cancer doing a power on Death Valley, we have pictures of Cancer with and without his headpiece on and different poses he can be in. As you open the box you see the standard layout of the window package, figure on the left, object on the right, on the border of the box you also see it says “Gold Saint” on the top and “Deathmask” on the bottom. So let’s review the package inside for a closer look.
As we see the package inside we see on side A we have the cape, the instructions and plate A with the figure and most of his cloth parts, it has most of his hands and even and extra pointing hand for he can be posed doing his power. On the right side or side B we have most of the object mode skeleton. As a 2005 cloth this figure is very simple to make, there are not a lot of parts on the cloth and the build looks very easy. As you look in the instruction manual you see that there are very few instructions on how to build it, sometimes even too little to know what you are doing. Luckily I have done so many myth cloths that I already know the process and the manual is just a bonus. What I really need the manual for is the object mode. The object mode is a bit weird with cancer but let’s see when we put him together.
As I put the object mode together, one thing I did notice is that the legs of the object mode have to pop inwards in the skeleton, this process is not said by the instruction manual but it is important to finish the object mode itself, but after you finish doing that the build is easy. The object mode is very well made and very solid. When you pick it up you can see it is very heavy but very well made. Not like other 2004 or 2005 cloths this figure most of the parts of the object mode due cover the skeleton, the only parts of the skeleton that there is no myth cloth parts is the back legs of cancer, but you have to pay very close attention for that detail. So the object mode I give it a perfect 9 out of 10. So let’s go build the figure itself and see how this cloth is different from the rest.
As we build the figure, you can see this figure is very different from the rest. The cloth is a bit slimmer and very close to the body compared to other cloths on that year, the face is a bit better made but not close enough, the thing you can see right away that it’s a 2005 cloth is his neck. The neck looks horrible with a V shape on it, this is one of the distinctive features that you can see on the old cloths, the very bad neck they have and the face sculpt sometimes they are very big. This face is ok, still does not look like the surplice cancer but its ok. The cloth is a different story, very well made, very slim, and very true to the figure itself. From the shoulders to the feet, the cloth itself looks perfect. The face piece, shoulders, and the extra chest part are the only plastic parts on the cloth with the waist included as always. The legs due have 2 sharp die cast metal points that are very sharp, so you may want to warn you kids about that issue if you are buying it for them.
Overall the cloth is great, the object mode is superb and the figure is not that bad for a 2005 figure. The neck and the face are a bit off on this figure but this figure is one of the best made in this year. Maybe in the near future we will see an appendix made for this figure but maybe not, because we have not even seen a prototype of the appendix. But even if the figure does not get one, I’m still happy with all the features it comes with. Overall the figure itself gets a score of 8 out of 10, which in my part is way better than other cloths on that year had. But if you are thinking of getting this cloth, you will be very happy you got it, I know I did for sure, even if it’s an old model.
I want to thank ishop2go for letting me review this great figure once again and remember guys… GO OUT AND BUY IT!!
