If you had been reading my saint seiya review for some time now you now know that there are different color boxes for the different saga they represent. This box is a Marine green meaning it’s from the Poseidon saga. The box comes with a classic layout of the figure in the front and an animated form as well the Bandai logo on the corner and the Toei sticker on the side as well. On the side of the box we see this is a book style kind of package and its says “saint Cloth Myth” and on the bottom it says “Kraken Scale” with a picture of the Kraken object mode in the middle, on the back of the box we have a very classic look at the figure, the figure is doing a power move and they show you the object mode and the figure with and without the face peace. On the inside of the box you see it’s a window display as most myth cloth are and you see on the outline on top it says General and on the bottom it says Isaac. It is now time to see the inside of the package.
On the left side of the package when you open the figure up, you see the figure itself, most of his cloth parts and his hands; he also comes with the instruction manual on this side. On the right side you see the skeleton form of the object mode and parts of the chest and waist of the figure. You also have the wings here of the figure and the object mode. The manual is very easy to read and because this figure was made in 2006 the instructions are rather short but straight to the point. No complicated instructions, they show you how to do it, and you do, simple. So let’s do the object mode.
As we do the object mode, I’m amazed in the great way all the parts fit, as a 2006 figure, a lot of the parts are big and chunky, but they all fit on the figure nicely. The object mode is made of all the cloth parts and you don’t see most of the skeleton of the object mode. The great display stand they give you is great and I was very surprised that the stand could hold the weight of the object mode in midair. The object mode is very well engineered but now it’s time to put this figure in figure mode.
Now it was time to prove if that I was hearing was true, and I have to say… it is not. The face is great sculpted; it has every detail the figure comes with on the anime and even the messed up eye. The hair is great and very dynamic and very well sculpted, the body is very nicely made and an array of selection of hands makes this figure a great buy. As I put the cloth on the figure I see that the parts fit perfectly to the figure, the parts are big and the different colors of gold on the figure is what I love on the Poseidon generals. As all the cloth is on the figure, it’s a figure to be proud of. The mere size of the figure is great with the massive shoulders and the wings on the back are a great bonus. The figure and the object mode look great but the figure also comes with a Hyoga head on this cloth as well. In my opinion I think Bandai was thinking this figure was not going to sell that great, that’s why they added some sort of gimmick to help the sales, but to tell you the truth, this cloth does not need any Gimmick. The only plastic parts on this figure are the helmet and the waist and wings; the rest is die cast metal which is great. This is not a bad figure, this is not a great figure, and this is an excellent figure to get. You may hear rumors or just straight out lies about the figure but I can tell you that this figure is just great, it a 20 out of 10 for me, it’s well made and a masterpiece on my eyes and I totally recommend anybody that loves saint seiya to pick it up. I know I was happy with it.
