Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Dubhe Siegfried Alpha Robe Review

One of the most memorable moments in the Saint Seiya Asgard Saga was the story of Hilda and Siegfried. It’s one of the best stories I have seen, the emotion, the love, and the self-sacrifice for his love for Hilda and Asgard, it’s just breathtaking. So naturally I wanted to review this figure first as a great start to the Asgard line in my collection, and man I was very happy with this review. Well let’s not waste any more time just telling you how great this Myth Cloth is and let’s review the figure in every angle.

As you can tell the series the character comes from has different color for each box. Poseidon boxes are marine green, gold saints are gold, and Asgard God warriors are like a dark sky blue. So the box of this figure is a great Dark sky blue, with the classic figure shot on the front with his animated form, the Bandai logo in the bottom and the toei animation sticker on the corner to tell you it is original. As you may know this is a book style of package as well and in the side it has a great picture of a double headed dragon and it says “Saint Cloth Myth” and on the bottom it says “Alpha Robe”. As my understanding of this figure, the names of the robes come from constellations. As we see the back it has a different approach to the figure, it has the figure on a pose and it has a diorama shot on it like his on a cave, then you have a shot of the object mode and the shots of the figure with and without his helmet. None the less this box presentation looks great in many levels and a great presentation at that. The inside of the box is a window box and on the border you can see it says God Warrior and on the bottom it says his name Siedfried. What a great box presentation and now its time to see the inside.

The inside of the box has a typical Myth Cloth layout, on the left side you have the figure itself and the cloth parts, you have the cape and the instruction manual. The major difference in this is that in side A you have the Wings for the object mode as well, and you can easy miss them cause there on the back of the figure. The cape is a standard white cape, and very nice addition to the figure. On the right side of the figure you have most of the skeleton form of the object mode, the waist and the chest of the figure and parts here for the figure itself. The instruction manual is not very hard to read. The object mode has most of the detailed instructions but nothing major, but the figure mode is very straight forward. So now it’s time to put the object mode together.
As soon as I finished the object mode I was amazed in how it looked, it looked classic with great use of all the armor parts of the figure. The object mode was a bit of a hassle to make and a lot of the parts go in places that you don’t notice your missing stuff, but in the end the figure itself, as an object, it looked fantastic, it has great weight to it, very solid object mode. But the star of this figure is the figure mode, so it’s time to build that.

I soon as I build the figure mode I can’t stop myself on just saying WOW this was a great build. On the shoulders they use a new type of material that feels like cardboard but it feels as plastic as well, it’s very hard to describe but it’s very nice. The new texture had a very glossy purple kind of mixed with glitter and it gave the figures shoulders a great new look. The helmets look great on this figure itself and the sculpture of the face on this figure is fantastic; it is made to perfection as you see him in the Animation. The shoulders are plastic and the helmet and waist, the rest of the figure is die cast metal as my surprise. The figure has this dark purple color to it that makes it looks great, and the red body makes everything stand out. Overall I give this figure a perfect ten in my books. The great color usage and the great capture of the figure itself and the feel made this figure to me perfect. I could not ask for more, and the additions of small and large wings to his back or just show the cape, it’s just a great feature you can add personality to a great figure.

Great color, great color, perfect capture and feel of the figure and the beauty of this great cloth, the Alpha robe has done a wonder, and the figure is phenomenal. In a scale on 1-10 I give this a 100 cause for me this figure is perfect in every way. I totally recommend this figure to any saint seiya fan, even if you not into the Asgard saga, you will love this figure in all its glory. I recommend you and promise you that you won’t be disappointed.
